PuroMAG™ Prpotein A/G coated magnetic beads are designed for efficient capture of IgG and other antibodies from serum, cells, and other biological samples.
Protein A/G coupled PuroMAG superparamagnetic beads are suitable for fast and efficient capture of a wide range of Ig’s. Protein A/G shows varying affinity for Ig’s from different species and for different isotypes within a species (see the Table in the Info section).
During the purification the sample containign Ig's is first mixed with PuroMAG Protein A/G coated beads. During 30 min incubation the Ig’s bind to PuroMAG-PRAG beads via their Fc region. The samples are then placed on a magnetic rack for pull-down and washhing to produce a purified compelex of antibodies bound to Protein A/G beads. Bound antibodies can then be covalently cross linked to bead-immobilized Protein A/G to get a very stable bead-antibody
